Meet the faculty and staff
« Return to faculty indexA versatile profession
“Social work is a versatile and wonderful profession. Our core values and knowledge, and skills in assessment and intervention, working with individuals, families, groups or communities, prepare us to work with people and policies in many settings.
“I am challenged and inspired working with students in the classroom or in the field, watching them face their fears, enter into people’s lives often at very stressful times, and take risks even when they are not sure they know enough. Experiencing students’ curiosity and passion in their work with people and their courage as they look within themselves via multiple self-awareness assignments, together with our profession’s focus on social justice makes me proud to be teaching social work.”
