Meet the faculty and staff

Faculty

A dedicated faculty of full-time professors from both the Alexandria and Richmond campuses teaches more than 800 B.S.W., M.S.W. and Ph.D. students. In addition, these students benefit from our cadre of long-term adjunct professors, who bring their practice wisdom to the classroom and field, teach and advise students.

The faculty brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom, including expertise in clinical practice with individuals, families and groups, community organization, policy practice, administration and research. Their fields of practice span the range from crisis intervention and short-term treatment, to gerontology, health and mental health services, disability services, child welfare, and international social work, to name a few. Faculty members are active in numerous professional associations and several maintain their own private practice. Both full- and part-time faculty members have a distinguished record of scholarship.
